General concepts of epidemiology, description, history and objects of epidemiology, changes in frequency of disease, calculation of epidemiological data, demography and epidemiological criterions, scales, speed, proportional speed, morbidity data, epidemiological methods, vital statistics, birth and death statistics, classification of death causes, disease causes; physical, chemical and biological factors, structural causes, person, time, place factors, concepts about infectious disease, infection chain, protection of persons, to cope with nosocomial infections, infection control committee.

Objective of the Course

 

 

This course is to acquaint the Nursing students with fundamental facts and concepts of epidemiology and to familiarize them with the importance of knowing the fundamental principles of this field.
